Skip to main contentThe Chat view is where you interact with your models and tools. It’s designed to make switching models, managing conversations, and controlling context easy.
Model Selection
By default, Chat will automatically use the model you’ve favorited on the Models page.
If you’d like to use a different model for a specific chat, you can pick any of the available engines you’ve already set up using the dropdown at the top right.
You can toggle external servers on and off directly in the chat panel:
- MCP Servers appear as switches in the right sidebar.
- Turning them on makes their tools accessible within the current chat.
- Turning them off hides them from the session.
Context & Temperature
Under Advanced, you can fine-tune:
- Context Window Size - control how much past conversation the model considers.
- Temperature - adjust how “creative” or deterministic the responses are. A lower value makes answers more predictable, a higher value increases variety.
Managing Chats
- Start a new chat by clicking the + button at the top of the sidebar.
- Switch between chats by clicking their names in the sidebar.
- Delete a chat by right-clicking its name and selecting Delete.
